Question for you all...
What methods do you use to increase your fans base?
Specifically, local following, as in people coming to your gigs?

We have been trying, but after four years we still have a very small following.
We've got a good Facebook following, but that does not translate into people show up at our gigs.
We just started a email service to get more info out there about our gigs, but it is slow going.

Looking for suggestion that have worked for you.

Throw house parties.
One party each at the house of every band member.
