Hello Folks, I am in the beginning stages of putting together a good pro Big Band based in the North Eastern Maryland area. After 2 years of trying I finally got my hands on some really nice arrangements so putting the book together can now begin. This is a rare Ground Floor opportunity for good, dedicated, hard working players. I am looking for a good base of cats who read well to call on to do the gigs when they materialize after I do all the hard work setting everything up from the Book to the Gigs. Rehearsals (which will be minimal) will be in North Eastern Maryland & will pretty much be read throughs' as all of you guys & gals know most of these tunes already. The chairs needed to be filled for each engagement are: Saxes (5), Bones (4), Trumpets (4) & Full rhythm section - Piano Bass Guitar & Drums along with an Alto/Mezzo Gal singer & Baritone Guy singer. Note: The Singers need to be good musicians as well as YOUNG & ATTRACTIVE as you will be the "Face" of the band.
