FEMALE VOCALIST FOR FLORIDA 12 PIECE SHOW BAND

We are putting together a 12 piece show band with the intent of playing private events, weddings, etc. 6 musicians-all in place, and 6 vocalists-3 guys-3 gals. We might play an outdoor bar occasionally, but only for exposure, and passing out business cards to acquire future work. We play 60's, 70's, 80's hi energy songs-Motown, Stax, Atlantic, disco-soul type music. We need one more member-a female vocalist.
You will be asked to sing the songs pretty much the way they were originally recorded as far as parts go, and be able to solo when called upon. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO HARMONIZE. Probably not the place for a rookie, as you'll be working with very experienced musicians and singers.
Read this very carefully.....THIS IS NOT A BAND THAT WILL PAY YOUR BILLS OR MAKE THE RENT EACH MONTH-it is a project which will take some time to perfect. You must be available to rehearse 1-2 times a week. 2-90 minute shows are put together-the first one is in place, and we're starting working now on the second. We practice in Ruskin, once per week with the full band, usually on Sunday evening for about 4 hours-and a second rehearsal with just vocalists and keyboards a second night weekly-not sure yet what night will work for all-very open for discussion.
PLEASE NOTE-We practice in Ruskin, just south of Tampa off I75, once per week with the full band, usually on Sunday evening for about 4 hours-and a second rehearsal with just vocalists and keyboards a second night weekly-not sure yet what night will work for all-very open for discussion.
YOU MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE TO RUSKIN AT LEAST ONCE WEEKLY for 6-8 weeks while still putting shows together-after that 2-3 times per month for refreshing........Ideal member would be located between Brandon and Bradenton-Ruskin is right in the middle. We practice at this location-3015 39th Ave SE, Ruskin, 33570. Please-mapquest from your location to see if the travel makes sense for you.
If you're at all interested in seeing if you're a good fit, and would like to attend a rehearsal to feel us out, give me, Bob Duckett, a call at 941-729-8797. I'm the keyboard player -we're all working extremely hard to get this off the ground!
