The Barbara Harley Band is looking for a rhythm guitar player, acoustic or electric, with lead and backing vocals, male or female, any range. We are primarily a classic rock cover band but throw in some country, folk and original music as well. Some of the artists we cover are The Beatles, Blind Faith, Free, Journey, Foreigner, Janis Joplin, Carrie Underwood, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zepplin, Pat Benatar, Lynard Skynard and more. We have lead guitar, female acoustic/electric guitar, bass and drums already. Our lead guitar player sings some lead and does backup harmonies; our female acoustic/electric guitar player sings most of the leads and does backup harmonies as well. We are looking for a very strong singer who can come in and complement the two part harmonies we currently have and take over lead vocals on 1/3 of our set list. We want to be a first rate vocal group. We rehearse in a secure, private studio in Plainfield, NJ on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 9:30 but sometimes switch to Thursday nights. We are not currently gigging but have enough contacts to start booking as soon as we add that 5th member. We have pro equipment in the studio. We’re all over 50 but age is not a factor for us. Please, no prima donas, no shower singer wannabe’s, etc. We use our studio time constructively so please, no drugs and we keep the number of beers down to a couple if that.
