Musician Forum - Band Discussion Board - BandMix

Hi, I'm Eric. I've been playing guitar for over 20 years & I have an AA degree in music composition & have also studied general music theory/harmony, music marketing & electronic music. I have a little bit of touring experience that includes Warped Tour & SXSW. I've also recorded 3 EPs w/my last 2 bands, so I'm familiar & comfortable with practice, recording & live environments.

I'm looking to join or form a 4 or 5 piece band that emphasizes alternative rock & post-hardcore with some other styles mixed in. I'm looking for a band that's able & willing to practice at least a couple times a week & gig as often as possible. I'm looking for people who are open-minded, easy going & able to put in work with minimal or no drama. Ideally, I'd like to form a band from the ground-up, but I have no objections to joining the right existing project either. Ideal age range: 28-38-ish.

I'm looking for music-driven people that understand the creative & business parts of being in a band, the industry and the world around them. The band should be professionally minded but have modest/realistic expectations. I want to make music that can be enjoyed by a lot of people, so I'm not looking to work with anyone who discriminates against others. Please don't inquire if you're into music for the wrong reasons...its not a get-rich-quick scheme.

Must also have:

-Working gear
-Reliable transportation & employment
-Some proof of previous experience (recordings, photo/video, etc.)

Looks like you are in my backyard. I listened to your tracks and you have some interesting stuff that I envision might apply well to film soundtracks. Good luck with your project.
