This is a song I wrote and recorded a few years ago. Decided to redo it so I just scrapped the old and started over.
I think it's one of my better tunes. Maybe a little busy in some spots... but I like it.
1st on my player called Picture on the Wall.

Nice job! I enjoyed. I'm trying to think of what band this reminds me of but I can't quite grab it.

How did I miss this earlier ?

Love your music bro. Weird . . . heavy rocker that I am.
And I can easily discern the lyrics ?
Also weird . . .

One of those kinda days I guess . . . 8)

Thanks for checking it out Firebird... not sure what band it reminds you of. The only comparison I've ever heard was Social Distortion. I think more for the vocals than the music... but there is some similarity there I think as well.

Sans it's one of my acorns... imo. :P
Thanks as well.

Another good one.
Suggestions:

Bring up the lead guitar volume a little during the lead part.

verse 2 - can you come up with another set of lines to make it the same length as the first verse? It's a little too quick as is.

But Mike if I add lines I may be flirting with a 4 minute tune... :P
I hear you... I never thought about the shorter verse much I just like the way the lines go there. And of course now it's like concrete thoroughly mixed up and permanently set in my mind.
But I will bump the leads once I redo them.
Thanks as always for the input.

OK.......I got it........kept thinkin'.......the Goo Goo Dolls! (I just listened to "Iris") This is just a general music/vocal sound association so please don't take it negatively if you don't like them. I think they are totally fine! (Your other songs are cool too.)

I learned their tune "Name" many years ago... Odd open tuning used for it. I do like some of their music.
I would take it as a compliment so thanks. :)

LOVE IT! great gtr tone too...is that your thinline Epi?

while people are tossing comparisons around....the gtr style/tone and your singing reminds me a little of Malcolm Tomlinson. (I'm a fan of his).

thanks for sharing the tunes. REALLY good stuff!

Yeah that's my Sheraton... I do love the tone of Humbuckers in the mid position.
It's versatile enough for the sounds I like. It can hold its own and get dirty enough yet cleans up just fine. :P Sounds like a few girls I've known!
And thanks for the words... not familiar with Tomlinson but I will check him out.
