Ever take the time

I wrote this a few years ago but wasn't till recent that I tried to put some vocals to it. It's called oddly "Ever take the time?"
Was a song about regrets.... I'll leave it at that.
Not quite sure if it's done... I've tried different approaches to the mello lead just never satisfied with the tone... was originally all acoustic.
There is some extra string vibrations in a few spots need to be cleaned up. And a few other minor infractions.
If you have any thoughts on the mix or the song feel free to have at it.

First on my player...

Another good one.
Suggestions (just my thoughts on one listen):
Final chorus - pull up the volume a little 9maybe add anothe rrhythm guitar in?), and make it longer, either repeat it before ending or repeat and fade out.
Lead guitar part after the harder/louder part, leading into the last verse - make the lead guitar a little louder. The level is fine when it is coming in behind the singing for the last verse.
You got to get yourself a band together and start playing these tunes out, man!

After listening with some fresh ears the exchange back to the quieter part needs some work... Maybe continue that solo for another measure or two.
I'm thinking maybe bring more drums in toward the end and extending the song.
Thanks as always for the input mike.

I enjoyed the music.
I like the lyrics.
To go further into " I cannot clearly distinguish the vocals " would only make me sound like a broken record.

Great song . . . THANKS !
