Well even though music has been pretty much my sole solace in my life, I have been both emotionally and financially drained by it for much too long now without any real payoff.
So I have decided to switch to the one thing and place where I'm happy... the poker table of the casino.
This friday I will be a seated player in the main event of the WSOP (world series of poker) tournament @ the Horseshoe Casino in Cincinnati.
Also ESPN is considering licensing one of my songs for the program.
Wish me luck... in both!
Salute!

Can you really put your music aside like that? On the other hand, if poker can finance your music 'hobby' ...

when you love a woman, but she does nothing but give occasional pleasure to break up the constant heartache and drama, do you keep her?!

the thing is, at least at the poker tables I know everyone is fulloshit up front... well, I actually also know that about musicians.
The biggest problem with music, is dealing with musicians!
I just have no more time or tolerance for the posers, which seem to have come out of the woodwork and taken over the field (formerly art).
Wish me luck in the tourneys
Salute!

"Good luck in the tourneys"! You can always go to a solo gig thing to keep your hands in music.
