He took up the cause of the Palestinians a few years ago. I'm not a big fan of a lot of his music but you have to give him credit for standing by his beliefs. In general, mixing politics and music rarely works, and the result quickly becomes obsolete as time passes.

Now that he has let his freak flag fly, he's nigh to being toast.
Racists always hate Jews, and it's always their undoing. It's hard to feel sorry for them when they bring it upon themselves.
How many Mel Gibson movies have you seen lately, btw?

I like Mel's movies but he has LSD syndrome, in that he thinks he's invulnerable to repercussions.
(buzzzzzzer) lol

I'm not sure we can call him a 'hater of Jews' when the symbol (the star of David) is on the flag of Israel. He's against the policies of the state, not against the Jewish religion itself. If he flew the stars and stripes on the pig would we call him anti-Christian? As far as losing fans, that's not likely; there are literally millions upon millions of Pink Floyd fans who probably won't pay much attention to this controversy anyway.

"Waters notes that the Anti-Defamation League has ruled his work has no anti-Semitic intent. "I also use the Crucifix, the Crescent and Star, the Hammer and Sickle, the Shell Oil Logo and The McDonald's Sign, a Dollar Sign and a Mercedes sign [in the show]," writes Waters"
Can there be any doubt that " religion " is just a way to control and intimidate ?
F them all

Its a religious world and a Christian country .... but its still a shame when you cant criticize without the race card being pulled .... people run Govts and people are prone to doing bad things.

Roger Waters is a good songwriter who came from an amazing group, but as an individual he is a pretentious ass. The Wall is my least favorite album because I know what went on behind the scenes. To treat Rick Wright as lesser was a big mistake on his part.

This is a cop-out many racists hide behind.
If he flew the stars and stripes on the pig would we call him anti-Christian? .
no that would be anti-American. Nobody seems to mind being offensive to christians, it's especially en vogue since 2008 but don't you dare say anything against Islam or you could get jail time. Free speech in America ends there..
http://gawker.com/5947469/innocence-of- ... or-himself"Waters notes that the Anti-Defamation League has ruled his work has no anti-Semitic intent. Key phrase in that being
"writes Waters"
This is only an indication of the black heart behind the facade. People who hate Jews are simply hateful people, and it manifests itself in many ways to other people around them as well. It doesn't matter how many fans he
had, this will be his end.

Doesn't anyone find it significant that Israel is outnumbered a gazillion to one in both people and space, and is still considered the aggressor? They are not saints by any means but they are nicer than some might be in their place.
As one Israeli PM (Meir perhaps?) put it, "The war will end when they (the Palestinians) begin to love their children more than they hate us."
The simple truth of it? If all the Arab countries put down all their weapons on Friday the result would be a big flat nothing.
If the Israelis were to put down all their weapons on Friday, they'd be dead by Saturday night.
Until those facts can be reversed I have to say, "f**k the Palestinians and all those Arab hoax nations paying lip service to their bogus 'cause'."
I don't love Israelis for the same reason I don't love Mexicans - I don't know them all! How can I?!
So I must look at a situation and find the ironies. I don't understand it - it's bizarre and yeah, kind of Biblical, but for goodness sake. The imbalance is overwhelming - if the Arabs could ever muster the will, they could swamp Israel. (they won't - Israeli nukes. They didn't - even when they could)
There is much more going on than that. Arab ethnic tribal separatism and various flavors of Islamic radicalism make for weird alliances. It's hard to believe our govt clowns understand much of that so basically, they just stir the sh*t.
And to make it worse, they / we are arming both sides with up to date weapons. I call that murderous insanity. When FedGov /Big Media prattle on about morality I want to pretend that I am some other species, something noble - perhaps a dog...or even...a swine.

I'm just sick to death of the middle east in general.
Can't we small nuke it into a large overseas glass parking lot?
F them all. It's like 2 kids that can't stop fighting. SMACK THEM BOTH.

The obvious answer is to relocate Israel. It should have never been put in the middle east to begin with. I suggest we give them Florida.

You'll have to take that up with the One who created them 5,000 years ago and gave them that land.
Many have tried from Pharoah to Nebuchadnezzar to Arafat. Whoever tries will be crushed by their own efforts, so count me out.
Unfortunately the last few Presidents in America seems to think we can win in a battle with God by dividing that land.
Joel 3
For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring back the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will execute judgment upon them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations: and they have parted my land,
I'd go with the odds, if I were a betting man....
