So I just got a phone call about playing a festival in NY state.
Someone heard some thing they liked and asked if we'd be willing to come play for the weekend for an unknown amount of people at Live 2 Create or something like that. (My head is spinning in a bad way.)

I told the guy honestly, I just don't have the personnel enough to play the show. He then asked me if I would be willing to play solo, he'd provide a backup band.
I thought about that for a moment and then politely declined.

I asked him how they would play the music and he replied that "we'd get it together". I shuddered as in in a cold wintery blast.
I mean, that could be a train wreck and a half. Worse yet it's being filmed, so whatever it was, it would be recorded.

I was just watching my one buddy's band on YouTube and it's so bad, it brings tears to my eyes in between peals of laughter.

Nooo I don't want that and it makes me so sick to think about it, I feel like jumping....maybe up and down on a trampoline. lol

Seriously though, that made my stomach hurt. That and the bass player that wrote back last night saying "good luck in your search".

I'm guessing HE didn't like any of it. (sigh)

Now I am just waiting on "mr hardcore drummer gone bassist".
He'll be the next one that sends me the big email that pisses all over me.

That Live-2-Create group looks legit, but from the web site info (and pictures of past events) it's for all kids 6 to 16 - some of the bands look older than that, but curious they would be asking you, Scott.

I kept thinking, "Live to regret".. lol
As in I would regret being filmed with a walk on band.

On the #1 it says "venue for all ages to showcase their talents in music, dance and visual arts". I know it's a young crowd but...

Where's the "16 year old" clause ? Did I miss that or is that a product of an over active imagination mixed with some bitterness? lol
