{snip}

We have a long trail of evidence now proving that for several years the tactics of a police state have been slowly implemented in America. What is worse (and it does get worse) is that what Snowden brought to light is how our Government has built an apparatus for the most terrifying police state there has ever been. They not only have the power to see me typing these words right now, but they also have the power to watch you reading them. That is not paranoia; it is a fact that has been acknowledged. This is Orwellian prophecy fulfilled.

The whole world is outraged by what has come to light by our NSA domestic spying network. They became even more alarmed when they found out that it is not just American citizens whose communications and movements are being monitored, but their citizens too and even they themselves. It was disclosed that soon the NSA will have the capability of doing the same with almost everyone on the planet. The question most of the world is now asking is why are American citizens being so passive about this?

{snip}

good question....

Reminds me of recently I got a ticket.
My license was expired by 2 weeks.

I saw the cop and as he ran the front of his car past my vehicle, he then became interested in me and subsequently ticketed me.

So i was talking to him and laughing. He was kind of upset.
I got a moment and I asked him if he scanned my license plate.
He said no, but I was looking at his car and you can see the scanning device mounted on the hood.

Welcome to the future, we'll be monitoring your every move and scanning you like a bar code on the run, but we won't admit it. Nope, not this year. Ask next year and we'll pretend that it's old news and everyone else already knows, but this year is scheduled for heavy denial.

I think that depends on what you mean by "passive". I don't think people are just going to forget about this, and the vast majority are angry.

New story today- about Congressional hearing and these congressmen were really sticking it to the nsa. The bottom line on that was a congressman said that when the congress ok'ed this thing that nobody was talking about collecting ALL phone records. And if the nsa didn't think there was a problem about that then maybe the congress would not renew their ok in 2015.

The point is- these congressmen were angry (or pretending to be) and they seemed to be looking for change (yeah right, maybe or maybe not). I think people are just waiting to see what happens on this issue.

On the article I read on this congressional hearing there were over 3,000 comments, and 99.9 percent of them were pretty hot about what was going on- certainly not passive. If you mean why are people not marching on Washington- peacefully of course :D Again, I think people are just waiting to see what happens, and hope that congress does something about it.
To protect the innocent this message will disappear in 10 seconds.
(well, it doesn't work all the time)

bingo!

It's all theatre to make us think there is resistance. McCain is the ying to Obama's yang. Two sides of the same coin, confusing the issue(s) for the rest of us.

We are all struggling to survive daily. There are no good paying jobs (except in Govt) and instead of encouraging businesses that will employ people, our Government is taxing them to steal the profit of doing business. (THAT is what socialism is)

So many people are busy trying to survive that they aren't able to keep up with what the government is doing. When they can no longer survive, there will be an uprising like Tahrir Square in Egypt, because there is nothing left to lose.

Sadly, that is where we are heading. But unlike Egypt, the USA already has the ultimate in Police State technology in place...and is ready to use it.

There will be no successful resistance, or it would have happened by August of 2008. Oh there will be flare-ups which will be squashed quickly but our capability to do anything about the coup of 2008 is now past.

It seems only a matter of time before I will be arrested for simply stating this fact.

IRS Employees Were Ordered to Send Conservatives Cases to IRS's Only Obama Political Appointee - CNS News

IRS employees were ordered by their superiors -- including Lois Lerner who pleaded the 5th Amendment against self-incrimination rather than testify in Congress -- to send certain Tea Party tax-exemption applications to the office of the IRS's Chief Counsel, which was headed by William Wilkins, who at that time was the only Obama political appointee at the IRS, according to a letter released today by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

What the left doesn't seem to understand is this:

IF there is a backlash to this travesty of justice, it could cause an equal yet opposite reaction.

Will you finally be upset when a hard-right conservative starts singleing YOU out for harrassment, or even persecution, from the government?

Just for discussion sake, let's change the names of the groups being persecuted.

What would happen if Reagan (the last conservative President we've had) was targeting Democrat "get out the vote" groups this way? What if he had intimidated and persecuted all liberal groups like this?

What if Reagan seized all the records and contacts of NBC/CBS/ABC? What if he started intimidating all movie/music/book writers who are viewed as his personal political opposition?

It's a strange world when the ACLU is now championing this conservative cause, while their historic constituency (liberals) are being as silent as lambs. Many are laughing in glee, not realizing they will be next.

In my opinion, this is a pretty good summation of the situation:

It is a sad state of affairs. The United States experienced a coup beginning in 2002--progressives, socialists, communists, Muslim Brotherhood, illegal aliens, homosexuals, abortionists--took over the country and have been running things ever since. It is a coalition of the unrighteous ruling over the citizenry like never before seen in American history. These are folks who have a new definition of America. They love America--they're America--the one they are remaking into a third world country while good people are so busy surviving that they cannot bring an opposition to the field. But now that the coup is complete, the revolution follows.

A third of Americans are on the government dole; the government is the largest single employer in the nation; the President overseeing the destruction of a once great country, attempting to export his Muslim Brotherhood revolution to other parts of the world, especially the epicenter of the end times--the Middle East.

The scandals should have brought this administration to its knees. But the coup is complete--neither Benghazi, nor Fast and Furious, nor IRS targeting or government spying can stop them from their appointed rounds. Now the revolution, pitting Americans against Americans. It starts by creating racial tension and augmenting it with the false flag of social injustice, fanning the flames with words of division disguised as words of peace, then bringing in their coalition to push it over the edge--just like how the Muslim Brotherhood did it in Egypt. The Trayvon Martin angry spark has grown to violent protests enjoined by the more organized "occupy" movement, amnesty, gun control advocates and others.

These protests are aimed at calling out the government for more action--not against the government for its policies. In other words, the revolution is encouraging the occupant of the Oval Office to take stronger action against Americans who oppose abolishing marriage, abortion, amnesty, fiscal irresponsibility, etc. It starts with the racial fuse and then all the members of the unrighteous coalition join in. It is a revolution. And it is a revolution of the godless, often invoking God as if they are his representatives. This is separation time. As Joshua 24:15 says, "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom you will serve...but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

We will fare better than the rest of you, yes.

I would just hate seeing this experiment in liberty called the USA disappear with barely a whimper.

If it does it will be because we requested it . . . or stood idle by.

Very historical of us.

I keep thinking of the Old Testament. I never quite understood what it meant when it said roughly, "The Lord gave them over to their sin and they went into slavery" (a compendia of a number of verses)

It sounds like us. Collectively, we wanted what we should not have, and we got it. In my youth - the USA was admired and loved - I was proud to be from around here.

Now we are feared and hated - we have routinely turned against allies and attacked countries where we had no self interest - even our allies are afraid of the repercussions when our dollar fails, and embarrassed by our military actions. It's as if the Dems are playing catchup with the repubs, to have as many wars going as possible, only they chose the other side. It's appalling but I'm starting to get it.

The Lord let us go right on into the cesspool - because that is what we wanted.

Imagine someone in the U S congress with the backbone to speak up for the truth- to tell it like it is, and do the right thing.

Since I can think of no one, I have to listen to the truth from Ireland's Clare Daly (a member of the Irish Parliament).

Watch below if you want a laugh and with a good feeling going up your spine. And ask yourself if she were a member of the U S congress, would all this B S be going on right now. Oh is this lady Irish- God bless her. Click on the link below to watch Clare ripping it.

The Obama Administration is busy creating political instability wherever and whenever it can.

That is what comes before a civil war. Once they can actually provoke the citizens to violence, they will come in acting like saviors for a problem THEY created.

We are all in deep dukey because history education is so woeful in America. This is a predictable pattern that dictators and fascists have used forever...but we've not seen in the USA before so few see it coming.

May God have mercy on us all
