So I have mentioned that Wendy Waldman is producing my newest project, right? She's got a lot of famous friends pitching in but this guy has put the most amazing guitar part to one of my songs this week. Can hardly wait to hear what he does on the rest of them.

That's high cotton for a boy from Vidor TX, though Brent has worked with 3 other boys from Vidor TX (George Jones, Mark Chestnut, and Clay Walker) not to mention Gatemouth Brown from Orange TX next door.

Wow... that's one helluva resume there! Very impressive I imagine chops like that come at a hefty price!
Good Luck with your project! 8)

What a great player. An "A list" session guitarist for sure. I always had great respect and admiration for these guys that could walk in, hear a song a once or twice, and then lay down a brilliant guitar track that is the icing on the cake.

Enjoy the ride Ted!

Brent records at his house in northern Colorado these days, mostly, so I don't know how much he actually works on this project. What I've gotten from him so far is slamming. Oddly enough, this new CD project is the cheapest one I've done in my life (so far). Wendy is calling in favors from her friends for me. Still pinching myself 'cause it seems like a dream.

Some of you know I hire Andy Timmons for a lot of what I have produced since the mid 90s. I use his first take quite often. He'll sit down and just noodle while listening to a song and it will be the amazing thing you've ever heard before. We always make him do a second take just because we can't imagine letting him off that easy. Problem is we then can't decide which take is greater and end up flipping a coin.

Like I said in a thread a few months back, it's worth it to pay whatever it takes to get those kind of people involved in your project.
