Thanks for this... I just now finally found the pocket on John Lee Hookers 'Boom Boom" Found the voice fianlly. Me and the bassist are going to town with it now...Cant wait for the others...
I learned something... That old man (hooker) never did anything twice the same way... AND he was one of the rare few that cut a song in the fist take. (Reserving 2nd takes for catastrophic repairs)

John Lee Hooker was one of the many great Delta players. Don't know where music would be without the honesty, soul and Rhythm those guys injected into music. We should all feel indebted to those cats!
I like his dark stuff like... Serves me right to suffer, Tupelo etc...

Jahva, you might remember this one in the video. It really stands out and I intend to cover it at the Timberon Boues Festival... (Juts gotta find the angle for a prison song) lol. This is one of those 'get the crowd to clap and stomp...' songs
