I author a website called Levitynews.com, a fake news website. There is a disclaimer at the bottom of each page. People think it's REAL. One person commented that he was going to use the "valuable information" at his next business meeting. One of my customers read her "horroscope" and said "Yeah that's me." If something is in print, even with a disclaimer, it must be true. I read and listen to everything with a boulder of salt. The very first day of college for me, and the very first class I attended was English, and the professor, Mr. Keeler, said a few words of wisdom that have stuck with me all these years. When writing, eliminate dead wood. Get to the point. ASAP. When reading, always suspect somebody may be selling you a bunch of crap. Be suspicious.
He also said that the only person who really cares about you is ultimately yourself. Don't expect people to do something for you. Do it yourself.
Good rules to live by.
