You've gotten some good advice here. Put it to good use at least give it a try.
And let us know when you find your keyboard bro-mate!
The ideas you guys gave are not bad, but they still aren't giving me enough to work with. I need more specifics, ranging from members of bands in Baton Rouge that I can network with, music teachers, more music stores where I can post flyers, venues in Baton Rouge open during the afternoon (preferrably hosted during the weekend) that host an Open Mic where I can showcase some of my songs, AND spend some quality time mingling.
Finding these kinds of things through search engines is nice, but before trying any specific place, I would like to ask around to find out if the place attracts the type of musicians I'm trying to reach: i.e., guys in their mid to late 20s or early 30s who have a passion for a wide variety of pop and soft rock from the 80s to today, but who are essentially looking for a friend to hang out with and to learn some new skills with, and maybe expand his sound.
Another thing to factor in is that due to the fact that I'm legally blind, and therefore cannot drive, AND still rely on my parents to take me somewhere, I'm kind of limited in where I can go. If siad place is in an out of the way area, or if it's in an area or where traffic is bad, or takes place at a time when traffic is heavy, going to that place is out of the question.
