Nelson GA proposing a law requiring ALL citizens to carry a gun to deter crime. It works well in Switzerland, why not Georgia?

Do you even read the crap you post?

"Why have an ordinance if you're not going to enforce it? What's the point? They just want publicity to say Nelson is a town full of weapons," Nelson resident Lamar Kellett said.

Kellett isn't opposed to having guns, just having the government tell him he has to do it.

"This is big government at its worst. Government mandating what a free individual can and will have in his home," Kellett said.

Why? Perhaps because in Kennesaw GA we passed a similar law about 15 years ago. Not enforced but the law requires you to have a firewarm in the home.

Kennesaw has the lowest burglary rate in Georgia and NO home invasions. It was once the lowest crime rate in the US but I don't know if it still is.

the bad guys like 'gun free zones.' You won't find much of that here.

Mr Kellet is one guy giving you an illustration about the importance of the 2nd Amendment. This wouldn't be an issue if people like yourself weren't advocating that law-abiding citizens be treated the same as criminals.

No one wants the government to tell them that we can't own one either, since it is a GOD GIVEN right according to our Bill of Rights and Constitution.

Have you ever read that?
