Give me a chance to prove you guys wrong. Give me a chance to show you guys that I am not the guy who just shoots down suggestions.

Realize that I listen to what people have to say whenever I ask questions. Don't give up on me so easily when a few things go wrong.

Also just because I point out some of the flaws in a given suggestion, doesn't mean I'm not willing to try it. I would be willing to try some churches in my area again, but unlike last time, when I would just try the church blindly, I want to make sure a good portion of the artists I play/enjoy are accepted in the circle (see below).

Also try to relate to my music goals, of which there aren't any at the moment. I would like those to fall into place later.

I'm simply looking for at least one great guy around my age who loves a lot of the songs and artists I enjoy, plays keyboard, and is essentially looking for a best friend. Someone who is moderately active and has a few general friends, but isn't necessarily active at church, or at bars or clubs.

This search is about finding someone who loves and knows how to play music by Madonna, Adam Lambert, Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, NSync, Richard Marx, David Archuleta, Kris Allen, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, Owl City, Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Maroon 5, Lifehouse, among many others in the pop and soft rock genre.

Think of this as 2 parts Cliff

(You're in the wrong place)
Get this through your head... Your expectations don't align with what people look for on a music site. "Musicians wanted" that's what BandMix is suppose to be about.
Not looking for some friend who sometimes plays but is more advanced and can teach you and have lunch and go to movies and chit chat on the phone and lives 5-10 minutes away and has a place to hang out and etc...

(It doesn'y exist anywhere)
What you desire doesn't exist on any site known to man in this Galaxy!
So unless you start your own friendship finder/hobby keyboard player site or get on a rocketship to try the neighboring galaxies accept it doesn't exist!
Got it?
Psssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss...... as the air leaves your balloons.
Cut it out. You're lucky ETU isn't around these days!

The guy I'm looking for has to be around somewhere. Keep in mind that this guy I described could be on a site like this, and show himself as a serious musician, just like you guys. He could have a profile and samples up on sites similar to this. But with information on his profile or on his Facebook that states he's looking for a friend.

I'm not giving up. Saying that the guy I'm looking for doesn't exist just pushes me to keep asking questions about how to find this guy, and to try to discover some new places to continue my search, which hasn't happened since 2009.

By the way, since you are saying that I'm in the wrong place, what about the other suggestions people gave? Are there any churches out there that accept some good secular pop and soft rock? After making a friend elsewhere, I'd be willing to try some Open Mics at a nice bar or club or maybe even a few decent coffee shops in my area. It would also be cool if I could connect with some music teachers in my area, and network with them to find this guy.

After reading Jahva's post, I'll look somewhere else. I don't know where that is though.

Thanks for the help that was offered. Sorry if my posts got a little annoying.
