new tune on me player.

Not one to shout the sky is falling but we live in some troubling times for sure.
Probably should be titled "I still want to believe".

Any comments critiques have at it. Vocals blasé as usual... oy.
Cheers!

Is it, "Why War"?

Which one is it?

I liked it if that's the one you are referring to.

Duh I can't believe I missed that..

Sounds like Roger Waters to me. Sounds like an out take from The Wall.

Good Tune Jahva, I like it.

And to me your stuff puts me in mind of Tom Petty! That's a compliment BTW....I'm a big fan of TP. Neat tunes!

Well thanks for the taking the time and the replies peeps. This song was a real pain in the arse to get it where it's at... just glad it's done.

JD Thanks man... no need to master it... was just to vent a bit.
Sans Thanks as well.
Peg TY... I like Petty and his blend of sounds. Pretty close in what I like to play and be part of. Just a bit Americana.
Scott I see where you're coming from... that tunes a bit quicker tempo but has some familiarity to my song.
JW I'll take a Waters throw away. Thanks
LD I got a few rocks left in me brain I'll work on it. Hope you're doing well.
Thanks again all. 8)

Damn Jahva Excellent Song bro! I especially love the subtle mideast motif in that lead guitar... If you intended that ....it works and its fkn brillant! :)
Two Thumbs up!

PD,
I'm guessing you're referring to Why war...
Yeah I wanted it to feel darker at those points in the song and it fit the mood and theme to me. That's cool... you would be the first to notice that or at least make it known. (War/ Middle Eastern sound)
There are a few elements and subtleties that just don't stand out properly to me. The mic and guitars I use... do create some limitations. Need to revisit it one of these days. But it's good enough for now.
Thanks again PD! 8)

Jahva dont take me saying it sounded like an outtake as a negative.

Just the feel of the song reminded me of songs from the wall, but I can also hear the Petty influence in your music. Its just when I first heard it I thought Roger Waters.

I didn't take it as a negative at all. I love Pink Floyd.
I once wrote a song called Behind Walls as a challenge. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15367559/Behind%20Walls.mp3
It's a Pastiche. I used a bit of Shine on you crazy Diamond and a clip from the movie The Wall. The vocals suck but it came out pretty decent musically.
Even lyrically it's about a person who knows they don't fit in to society and accepts life behind the walls they've put up.
