Hey guys, I'm trying to get into a band for the first time and was wondering what kind of venues I could try to find one that I could fit in. Is it just a matter of looking around this site and waiting for a message from somebody? What kind of things should I be prepared for? Thanks a bunch!

I watched your video and you do have skills. Regarding finding a band it takes the patient of a saint! Hopefully you know a lot of songs in the genre you want to find a band in. Like anything else in life NOTHING will come to you if you sit back and wait! First finish out your site here at bandmix. Then direct people from Craigslist and other such sites to your site here. I use my BM site as a tool to give folks that are interested an idea of what I am about. Check out other sites here and you will get ideas of how to develop your bandmix site. Keep an open mind and think outside the box. Go to open mic nights and jam with people. Good luck!

Thanks J-Haley, I appreciate it. Also, I have to say that being a Texan man helped ha, seeing as I'm a McAllen guy myself.
