Hi all,

I live in silverspring, md, and find it so hard to find a christian contemporary/traditional band seeking a backup singer :( . Is there something i am doing wrong? I am on basic, and no upgrade, i am unable to upload sample songs, and i play no instruments, though i am willing to learn. So, all i do is sing. Also, i can't do anything at night, only in the day time. Could these things be the cause? Would appreciate any feedback.

(Gee I wonder where "Glambert" is..) lol

YOu madmoiselle, need some samples of your voice so that you can include them on your BandMix home page.
You must "kill" to get these samples or be "willing to anything", else you are "done" before you started. lol

But seriously this is a game of "examples". You must provide an "example" to be considered to wash "the lavatory".

You have no example, so none will let you so much as "scrub the floor".

Figure out how to get your example, convert to a mp3 file and then upload it to bandmix profile.

Alternative would be to make a video and upload that.
(Make sure it has good audio or you're toast!)

Besides a backup vocal, what do you bring to a band? Equipment (PA, lights?) Contacts at places you can play?
Just about anyone can sing backup vocals if they have enough musical talent to play an instrument.

Advice: step up your game to start singing lead vocals, or learn an instrument.

Thank you all for your feedback, i really apreciate it. At Chief engineer scott, you said to upload a video. Would it need to contain sound (as in beats, drums, etc), or just me singing my heart out?

lol It could have poor audio quality, just look around.

There are more than a few of those around these pages.

It would still give people an idea of what you are capable of..regardless of how bad the audio was..

As long it had you singing, it would be something.

You could even do a karokee tune and be of bad audio quality, it would serve as some kind of example..
