Can you receive messages and reply to them if youare not a PM. I paid the fee so I could message some of the folks in my local. But I am wondering if, they are not PM's can they even see the message or reply?

If a member isn't a premier member, on some profles they list websites they are on including Facebook. You might be able to contact them that way. Otherwise if you send a Bandmix message and they are not Premier members they will not get the message. I have been a Premier member in the past but not now. One Bandmix guy messaged me through my other website.

Is there anyway to know if someone is a PM? I won't waste my time sending messages to someone who is not. Seems pretty lame to have this site and not tell people that without contact info listed, no one can contact anyone with out Paying. I realize funds are needed to pay for the site. They should just do what other social mediums do and have advertisers pay for it. I hate advertisements all over sites, howevr I dont like paying a subscription fee worse.
I understand not wanting to put contact info up puplicly where any idiot can see the info and spam you, or whatever. I certainly wouldnt put up a phone number on a puplic site. I put my email up, which I still may come to regret. I dont use social media like FB or Twitter and never will.

2) How do I contact other members?
To contact other members, you must become a Premier Member. When you are logged in as a Premier Member, the member's contact button (located below their profile picture) will open a pop-up message window. After completing your message, an e-mail will be sent to the member to notify them they have a new message at BandMix.com. All members (free and Premier) can read their messages

You don't have to be a Premier member to receive just to send messages.
Most get around it by including an e-mail ad in their info on their page and or on the Forum profile.
