Hey, what happened to the thread about a vocalist trying to find a band? Did a moderator delete it or did she?

That's strange! Hope your ex didn't figure out your password here!
Not sure if you saw my last reply. I'll try to recreate it.
Given the kind of music you want to do, your youtube demos may not be helping you too much - other than to show that you CAN sing!
You should get out to some places in your area where bands are playing the kind of music you want to do, then during one of their breaks go and talk to them and see if they'll let you sing one song with them - you can even go out in the parking lot and do a quick a capella song so they can hear you first. Bring a friend with a HD video camera to video you when you do the song, it'll give a much better look at what you really want to do.
In the meantime, start searching for band members.
Good luck

Thanks man! I'm working on gettin some gigs lined up for about 2 or 3 months out and gettin a band together. In the meantime, I'll follow your sound advice about goings out and seeing if I can sit in on a song or two.

Good luck! You've got the voice and the equipment, just some patience and hard work should do it. Remember that most people make their judgement in no more than 30 seconds, so you've got to grab new viewers/listeners that fast when you post any music online.

Thanks for the great advice! I've been corresponding with a guitar player on the site. We found a bass player on here, and he thinks he can get us a drummer so looks like we'll have a band together very soon. I'm so excited and looking forward to getting back on stage!
