If you are a musician, love the Beatles, live in the general LA area & always wanted to be in a Beatles tribute band, here's your chance.
We are forming a new Beatles tribute band & need a "John", "Paul' & a "George". The manager of the band has asked me to be the "Ringo" & to seek out others who can fill the bill.
If you are interested & would like more info, please contact me @ dkforsythe@hotmail.com. Please place the following in the subject box: "New Beatle Band" and which position, by Beatles name ("John", "Paul" or "George") you wish to fill.
Thank you.

Good luck! Are you doing costuming? Keeping to certain period of tunes? One thing you'll find is that anything post-1965 needs more than 4 guys if you want to recreate the sound. They also did some serious overtracking/doubling of voices.
We've got 6 of us and still will need to compromise sound for some tunes.
For While My Guitar Gently Weeps, two of us will be playing keys (piano and organ), lead guitarist, bass, drummer, lead singer will also play acoustic guitar.
Glass Onion - 2 guitars, bass, drums, lead singer and I'll be doing strings and the 3 note recorder part (rather than playing it on keys).

Thanks for responding guys.
We won't be costuming- we will only be recreating the sound. The manager wants older musicians that are responsible & that kinda goes together. Been thru the "not showing up stage"!
We do encourage members to have instruments that appear the same. Such Paul having a Hofner bass & the like. Gigs would be a wide range of venues & events.
The manager has managed Beatles bands before & knows that we need additional members to pull off the later stuff. That's a given. But we appreciate the reminder, GuitarMikeB.
We are hoping to find musicians in the LA area. It's easier on everyone once the band is formed. Thanks for the offer, PaperDog. It would be great to have an orchestra backing us up.
All the best,
Darrin
