Hello everyone, just wanted to introduce myself to the community and try to see how the neighborhood works.

I'm Dan, I've been playing guitar self-taught for roughly 12 years and have written dozens of songs instrumentally, with a few of them being posted on a myspace, purevolume, or unsigned.com. I consider my style to be Rock, but I'm not entirely sure exactly which genre my songs fall into.

I have much more material from before/during/after these recordings, and my most recent ones will end up on my profile with this website.

Before I started focusing on my own page I was hoping some of the veterans of the site or some good ears could fill me in on some good strategies in utilizing this site, the "tips and tricks" if you will. I'm also always happy to receive an opinion on my music, as not many people get the chance to hear it lately, and my family is not very passionate about music so I can't really rely on them.

I look forward to listening to all of your songs, and hope I can make some interesting things happen while I'm here.

Like the guitar, vocals don't measure up to the guitar IMO. You would be better served to find yourself a strong vocalist to collaborate with. Nice tunes.

Welcome to the boards ...

The first suggestion from this " vet " would be to post your tunes HERE.

There are some really good, talented, and heavily experienced musicians here whom have been very helpful to myself and others.
Though some of them will not " link chase " to give advise because they feel we should support this site as much as possible.

Best wishes

Glad you like the guitar Bob, I got a lot of new stuff I'm recording now to post from the past couple years, it will be interesting!

I also agree, I'm hoping to find a creative songwriter / singer to collaborate with with the networking this site provides. You've some awesome covers btw Bob, started listening when I read your post. Thanks for the feedback!
