A mall gig! Nice. It was funny watching everybody's short attention spans in the background. People were either messing with their cell phones, or were stuck in the clouds window shopping. I would have been the guy standing around watching and listening.

This video is another reminder that I need to learn how to read music. I keep telling myself to do so. :)

Sue-weet !

Whats that J shaped instrument ??

I subconsciously inserted NKF into that scenario.

And watched as the walls breathed and merchandise crashes too the floor.

There are some benefits to not being electric and loud.
( forgive my rock blasphemy ) :P

I encourage you to learn to read. But, just so you know, even if you can't read music you are still a musician. Being able to read it just gives you more power. However, many of these musicians would fall into a great big canyon if they had to play something without written music. I am going to do a mini seminar to teach these "guys" to get off the written page.

Krulio, I am glad that you would have watched and listened. We are going to play my arrangement of Coffee Break ( on my profile page) in the spring. Hope to post that too.

There are 2 j shaped instruments...one is a bass flute the other is an alto. Bass and alto flutes are bigger and longer  The curved headjoint shortens the instrument making it more comfortable to play. Actually the bass flute wold be impossible to play without the curved headjoint. The alto flute can be played with a straight headjoint.
