Was wondering if anyone might be interested in doing some kind of local "drum night" together here in SW Virginia. I've done a couple clinics in the past and enjoyed it. Would like to see something done to promote local talent, especially in more rural areas where musicians don't get to see much. My thinking is to find a place that works for both of us, do some advertising (I can do desk top publishing, if you can too, great), each do our clinic/performance portion of the gig, and do something as a duo (something semi-worked out or the typical 'drum battle' kind-of-thing), meet new people, get some exposure and hopefully inspire others to do the same.
