It's pretty good, but other than the seagull sounds & the wave sounds, it doesn't say 'oceanside' to me, mostly, I think, because it's so robotically mechanical in overall feel. I do like the way it builds from one piano to two. It reminds me of a manufacturing infomercial, except for the sea sounds.

Too much of the beginning, too late for the drums. When you doubled the piano it got interesting, but way late in the listen. The background ambient is a tad too loud, an occasional buoy bell would have been cool, break up the cycling waves. Just my opinion, but if the doubled piano and drums came in earlier you could do one cycle through then break it back down again with some long held sound like a phase or strings for the transition, then start it over from the beginning. Or not, I know you have a specific idea for what you are doing, just lending a pair of honest ears. You reversed the low and high ends which sounds strange to me, unsettling actually I cant picture how it looks when played. It's good man, but a bit sparse.

I like it just the way it is. I hear a lot of things in this song.

I kept waiting, and it kept giving!

lol Yeah I do the same thing, where you were saying about the linear preliminary tune. Then Mike will hear it and say something like no man this goes here and that there. We dicuss the structure, make those changes then do the drum details next.

Sent I really like the ambient background, what I meant by the beginning was just the piano cycle structure. Hey if you repost it and don't get a response just send me an IM? I'm interested to hear how it's going to sound.

Exactly why I hate music videos; now everyone relates the same information thus losing the personal impression.

Well SP I almost did a video and am glad it didn't work out... No I don't think I ever will put one to a song of mine. I'd rather let it have it's own life with the listener!

Not playing for me Sentient. This must be my fault. I tried when you first posted it. Will look for updates and get back. Just so you know I'm not ignorant old chap.
Best.

I enjoyed that. Was kind of laid back and kickin at the same time.
Had this feeling while listening to the waves of my childhood in Portland.
Smell that salt air.

Well hell man ... TEXAS of course !!

Right across the old ship channel from Corpus Christ.

Was a small town there, back in the 60's. I could walk ( about three blocks ) to the beach on the Gulf.
It was just open and undeveloped for miles on end ... beautiful.
In around about 68 when we moved out, I took my last tear filled stroll down to the waters edge.

They were already building houses where I used to play. :(
