One of my posts disappeared and I can't find out why. Nothing in the terms of use, nor in any stickys.

Ok, fair enough, but my post had neither. No big deal, but a banned topic sticky or even a pm advising why a post is deleted would seem reasonable.

We do a lot of networking here.
From collaborative music to setting up gigs. Finding / scouting local venues for each other, a place to crash when one is in town, or just meeting for lunch.
I find it odd that a post with no contact info would be deleted.
Not that I,m doubting your word. Just seems odd.
And I've been around since 07.

"Anyone in town in the same boat as me ? I work in the service industry which kind of makes it tough find band mates. Most bands rehearse in the early evening or weekends, but those of us working in bars, restaurants, etc, can't get together till late nights.

Anyone write/arrange and want to do originals ? I've got lyrics and gear, but I'm looking for collaborators, not just players to back me on my stuff. I also want to get together more than once a week. Things just move too slow that way.

I'd get a day job, but I can't walk away from the money I make right now.

Anybody out there ?"

That was the text of the post. I dunno what happened.

Me neither Hugh.
I see postings like that quite a lot.

My normal response is:

Use the search function Luke !

I have gotten tons of great advice and information on the Forum.
Been entertained and been pissed off.

But we / I completed our band by a daily use of the search function.
I took months and more patience than I though I had.
But ... IT WORKED !!

Best wishes.

Yea, no big deal. I was just concerned I breached a forum rule or something.

ha, every forum I post on is like you say. Great fun 99 % of the time. Seems like a cool group here. :)

I am downright embarrassed that I didn't even welcome you to the forum.

WELCOME, Hugh.

Hope you enjoy things here.

Good luck in your search, too.
