I posted up a couple of tunes. One is complete song (I wrote and play guitar/lead on and the other is just a rhythm.

Would appreciate any comments.

The complete song is VERY simple, understated, and the gal singing it sounds too subdued until the very end of the song. She needs to do more of that DURING the song. The guitar tone in just the rhythm of the second number could be better utilized in the first complete song. The drumming needs to be steadier throughout, more power, metronomic. You've got elements of a good song, very 60's sounding, but there's unevenness and the vocals need MORE POWER, MORE EMOTION. Work on getting everything smoother, better timing, metronomic drumming, and GET THE VOCALS MORE UP FRONT IN THE MIX. The gal has an interesting voice...

"I Need You Tonight" - It's definitely dated, like it's from the 60's, both musically & lyrically.

Use a metronome! Your tempo changes right at the start, after the bass sets the beat, & you speed up. It seems like this could be a good way to start the tune, though.

Why did she wait until the very end to open up? She needs to do that right after the very 1st verse.

The guitar is uninteresting. It might need some keys in there.

It all needs to be way tightened up. In places it sounds like you're almost all playing different songs in different rooms, but I realize this is prolly a practice session.

All in all, it's an okay song. Work on a set tempo. Change your guitar tone, & maybe the strum. Add some keys if you can, or a sax or something. Get her to make it more exciting, too, & it might be a good novelty tune to catch attention. The hardest part about using this song is gonna be to make it sound relevent today, cuz it's such a cliche'd throwback piece. I guess you could celebrate that, & make it sound like the Kinks or the Archies did it or something. That would work, I'd bet.

"None Yet" - It's all been done & I can't tell where it's gonna go vocally, but I can make about a dozen guesses.

lol drummer opened up some whup-ass in the 2nd half on the fills. But the fill drums were mixed much higher than the bass/snare, so they really "attacked" the listener.

What everyone else said about the other stuff.

Good start though, there's the makings for a good song in there, just needs a lot of production.

..and is that a marshall full-stack in the video?? whoa.. you needed a 30w combo for that gig

No that is the guitar players Randall stack. The other guitar player has a Marshall. I use a Peavey TNT 60 bass amp (old but sweet) & a Laney 25B
