Hi Howlin J,
In fact the motorbike and sidecar is quite good in snow really; you have one wheel pushing and two others dragging, where really a so called two wheel drive car is only one wheel when you get in trouble, so you then have three dragging.
And when you do get stuck somewhere you climb off and push still using the clutch and throttle.
And the ground clearance is often a little bit better than the average car.

My daughter seems quite a natural on the drums too, but I wonder if it is just that being young you are not inhibited to stamp on pedals and whack at drums with all guns blazing so to speak!

On Vaugham Williams: a neighbour of mine Chris King, once stood on his foot at a party... I just thought I'd mention that.

I bet that even the moan of pain coming out of good ol' Ralph sounded good! (bring that up with Mr. King the next time you see him. )

The next time you listen to Vaughn- Williams' "London Symphony" notice how some melodic passages sound like the Beatles' "You Never Give Me Your Money".
cheers'

Hello Howlin J,
Our friend Kit King was generally accident prone, and he once had the chance to meet and shake hands with the Queen Mother; he had left his place in the row to go down and get a photo as she arrived; she was just getting to his space on the line up as he rushed back to the space... tripped and hurled himself onto her in a rugby tackle!
Her two body-guards jumped on him, then realised he was just a clumsy oaf and helped him up!

I will try to get to check out the London Symphony.
I like some of Elgar's stuff, but wasn't too impressed by Benjamin Britten.
Cheers from a rather warm (13c) cloudy and un-Christmasie Sussex,
Mark.................

Hello all,
The site sent me a mail about a new posting on this thread; funny that on scrolling back just a few posts I find I had posted on it as well, and it was Christmas 2008 can you believe.
Now here I am Christmas 2010, and just home from five months living in the Philippines with my new wife and our baby Jhed Edgar who after me is the only Phillips name carrier on a direct family line from my GGGGGGGGGreat granddad Henry in 1700.
I just hope he can be the rock star that I never was!
Happy Christmas Howlin and everyone,
Mark D Phillips.......

Still just the one. NKF
I don't count the garage band from my youth.
We had a lot of fun in those days but never played out.
Never even had a name.
Just jammed for fun.

Since 1988...
Counting jazz combos and school I have been in 11 bands, and played the following instruments in front of a live audience:
Bass
Piano
Keyboard
Saxophone
Trombone
Tuba/Sousaphone
Percussion/Trap

Been a long weird trip

I use to ask my ex wife the same question but I believe it was worded a little different.
"How many bands have been in you?"
