Well, actually the Nu metal phase is fading away (thank God), and hopefully the emo scene will get trashed as well, and then grunge, old school punk and heavy metal will reign masters

I must disagree, sans. I think Family Guy is one of the funniest adult-oriented situation comedy cartoons ever made. I love how it lampoons American life, & it consistently makes me laugh with its surreal humor.

I think it's second only to The Simpsons for making us look at ourselves with a critical eye, while managing to entertain us.

I enjoy the Simpsons occasionaly. ( I rarely watch TV at all.)
Family Guy is just too perverse for me. Was funny the first season (what I saw of it anyway) then it went Californication on me. Caint go there.

yeah, the scenes where smithers imagines mr burns singins "happy b-day mr president" - those aren't perverse? or when he opens his laptop and burns says "oh smithers you really turn me on"... yeah... good old fashioned family fun.

Good points as well Mr Mike. Cant argure with you on those at all.
But if you will note I said "occasonally". Its rare I see anything on TV I enjoy completely. I even disagree with the History channel on occasion due to flawed reserch or conclusion. But I am an asshole. That has already been established. I do self cencorship. If I think it's bullshoot I go do something creative. (or just clean a gun or two )

to tell the truth I had mixed feeling about pointing that out but I felt you were insulting the simpsons (for not being perverse) and my fav char quagmire for being too perverse... I can't help but love 4th grade potty humor.
