Another thing that I think chases people away is my appearance. They see me and despite the information I'll give in my profile, they think I look young for my age.

Still another thing that some people are afraid of is the fact that I'm legally blind. They are not used to hearing that term and assume I'm totally blind. This is important to bring up because I cannot drive as a consequence, and therefore need to reach someone who does.

The guys I'm looking for are going to be extremely rare to find. Especially considering the fact that I'm currently not interested in playing gis, or joining a committed band. And again, the reason why I'm looking for someone who's doesn't have a job working in music or isn't playing in any committed bands right now, is so that he doesn't have to cancel anything if me and the other guy decide to take a more serious direction with the project, such as becoming an on call band for private parties, and wedding receptions, and other events, or simply playing a few shows for fun.

A lot of the individuals who contacted me when I used Craigslist, Baton Rouge Rocks, and such, wouldn't have lasted very long. Granted, I wouldn't have minded networking with those individuals, but they were against it. Don't say it's because of my "parasitic personality" because I'm not such a person. Part of the goal of finding this special music buddy involves forming networking circles, and networking with music teachers, people that play in bands that play pop and soft rock music, and people that work at music stores.

Also a lot of these sites that I've learned about start off as promising. There usually are a few individuals on the given site or at the given music store who are around my age, but as the years go by, I discover that some people leave the forum, or something happens to the forum that causes the audience to degenerate.

For example, look at Baton Rouge Rocks or even this site. Both sites used to be a lot more dynamic in it's user base. Certain regulars would come and go from the site, and be replaced by a new group of regulars. But in the case of Baton Rouge Rocks, spam bots started signing up, and so the Admins and moderators had to get rid of the register feature, and sign up the person himself. And as noted in several posts in this topic, the reason why this place isn't flooded with a whole lot of people in my area and around my age is because you have to upgrade and pay for a service to contact someone.

No! You guys are the trolls! A troll is someone who posts to intentionally stir up trouble, like MikeGuitar, VinnyViolin, and Crip2Nite! I had no intention to annoy anybody. I just wanted to expand and learn about a few other sites where I could create a profile, and chat online with other guys who enjoy pop and soft rock music and the majority of the people that responded, whined about me complaining, and then just completely trashed my music tastes, made ungrounded observations about me, and completely ignored the tips on how I can get more effective help.

The sad thing is that the individuals on here who are trolling me are normally supposed to be of the age to set a good example for all the other members. All the craziness that went on here I expect to see from individuals who are in their teens not from middle age and senior citizens.

Again, let's actually have a decent conversations. Stop all this madness.

The irony of this is that Sanshouhell describes themselves as a Christian band, and yet they are not being very Christian to begin with.

Ummm tried that already . . .

If you'd stop making excuses why you can't or it wont work for me because and actually accept advice and at least make an attempt to do your own footwork.

Perhaps then . . . with time . . . attitudes would soften some.

But I have my doubts either way.

I am NOT the one making excuses. When I point out a flaw in something, you need to listen and respect that. I was taught to not make excuses.

And here's another thing. No one will tell me what "footwork" or "advice" I need to follow through on. I am completely new to this, and I'm trying to avoid reaching the working musicians, and the ones who are playing in already committed bands. I'm looking for something special to play with. They will not be found at any local bars or clubs, and this search is made all the harder for me due to the fact that I'm not in college, nor do I have a job. And these guys I'm looking for are not going to be found at bars or clubs or churches.

Come on, guys, enough is enough. I want to get to the bottom of this. People on Baton Rouge Rocks and this board have always been sort of cryptic with their advice.

Why am I always acused of making excuses when someone throws out a reccommendation? The footwork I'm trying to do requires the other person to share his experience and give me some pointers on how I can use said suggestion to get the best results I need to get. Every time I'm given a suggestion, I only agree to try it to prove the person wrong.

Again, Crip2NIte, you are supposed to be a model individual. Why are you being so dickish? What exactly do you want me to do? Is that you in that picture?
