Your Icon gives you away, Much like Itu Malfunction Too! You Start a post, then argue with people you try to pull the rug from them. Christians are not on that rug. You can (try) to pull it from those that are indecisive about what they believe. Those of us standing on the solid word of God will be here when the rug is gone. You are a protester at heart, want to overthrow the govt. and any round thing that doesn't fit your square hole. With your anti-Christ views, I can only say it is up to you to find a direction without looking to what others have found, their directions and accuse them of diatribe. It is not the Christians your asking that is sticking your stick in the hornets nest. It is you, you own it. don't come up with a word that makes you feel comfortable not to be saved. This hornets nest is the most comfortable you will be, come judgement time. Enjoy it, Don't ask questions and blast Christians because you got an answer. God BE With You, Brother.

[quote="Guitaranatomy"]This whole world is creepy. Metal and Christianity do not go hand and hand. It just does not fit, it is almost like sacrilege. Does this look like a religious metal band for you! Metallica lyrics:

(The God That Failed - Black Album)

------------------------------------

That's why Metallica got signed by the synagogue of satan who owns for all practical purposes ALL THE RECORD COMPANIES, because they're antichristian. The same with any number of bands from that era: Crue, Kiss, blah blah blah.

Many of my songs have a GOD WINS theme because that's just reality. Check out Arockalypse.

It may have applied to someone who pissed you off but so much of it is totally irrelevant to me.

Christian rock has its place in society.. But it's mainly just for those already Christian. If a band is singing "Praise the lord, praise Jesus", you can bet that the only ones listening are people that already believe that message. So as long as they are not fooling themselves into thinking they're converting anyone, I think they have a place to stay.

Partially in agreement here.
Our mission is as much a communion and celebration with others of faith as it is a fishing expedition. And it is most beautiful when the celebration brings those of differing doctrine together in celebration.

Yet, I have actually been contacted by several individuals over the last several years whom stated that our musical message has moved them to faith.

As far as "conversion" goes. That is the realm of the Holy Spirit not of man.

We are but sowers of seed, all glory goes to God at the harvest.

I have issues about Black Sabbath playing their song Black Sabbath and would like feedback. Ozzie screaming "Oh God, Please help me!" as Tony is wearing a very conspicuous cross. Where does that put them, Christian Rock? :?

Words are meaningless without faith.

Remind me to let Dave Mustaine (Megadeth) know that metal and Christianity don't go together. He'll be surprised. As I was.

Christian metal bands sound so stupid.

That is all.

All I can say is, one of the best bands I heard here in California, was a Christian rock band. I have only heard them once but they kicked...it.

Yeah, Mustaine really sounds silly. Me too, of course - us Christian rockers are really lame.

But in addtion to insulting people you don't know, you are missing one very important point - perhaps the most important point of life. We don't choose Christianity. God chooses us. It is real. We can so 'no' but wouldn't that be kind of dumb?

It's not like there is another side...the guy who is percieved as the other side leaks evil into our world but is himself bound in outer darkness awaiting judgement.

The only reason to believe anything in our cluttered lives is if it is actually true. And I have guitar in my hands that says very clearly that Christians can play metal.

I think P.O.D. was one of the most innovative rock band of the last decade. They mixed rock with hip-hop and reggae well. I realize they weren't really "metal" but I don't follow the genre much. Groups like POD or Disciple or a bunch of other christian hard rock bands show they can rock with the best of 'em and are not ashamed of the cross.

How about U2, Switchfoot, Fono, Creed, or Sixpence?

As long as the band isn't marketed by the label in a cheezy way, it seems obvious that people of christian faith can rock with the best of them.

Hell....even outrock them with sober creativy.
