Everyone has issues. You learn to live with them, deal with them, or end up behind bars or in a padded room ...

Better to have anger issues than to have issues with your ability or lack thereof to actually play music LIKE YOU.

And for the record, the very first time I get robbed is the last time I ever spend any $ with any entity I have to actually deal with.

If you want to get creamed by guitard center or sam's ass, be my guest.

I just played on top of a wooden shelter at a public park, showed 250+ with NO ADVERTISING at all and got busted by the police + rangers for an assortment of things including "no permit" blah-blah-blah.

And you, Zar? lol

"Better to be playing anywhere instead of just talking about it, chuckle head".

"I think you have anger issues, Zar".. :)

How's that for mature? Go play in traffic, you buffoon. !!!

Keep your observations to yourself "Shecky the Wonder Dwarf", that way you won't have to cry yourself to sleep again tonight AND bite the pillow repeatedly.

(crushes coke can and throws it in the garbage)

I'm just sitting here, writing checks, trying to see if I have enough $ to pay all my fines...(and so far the answer is "no".)

But do I care? not in the least. "My maturity is lacking" ....(I'll get right on it.)

Everyone send me a 20$ and send it C/O "Starfish Scott"
P.O. Box 5
Three Bridges, NJ 08887

"I'm going to pay fines with it, I promise".. lol (high pitched squeal)

Scott

The check is, well, in the mail...

However, due to my own pecuniary difficulties I had to write it against my Confederate bank account. Hopefully it will be good soon! 8)

Now back to writing checks (yep, me too) to people who don't love me...

Hey, I'd send you a sawbuck, except I just got hit in the wallet for my truck. Made the last payment 2 weeks ago, yesterday I found out I need the timing belt changed, the rear axle is leaking and need new rear brakes. $2700

You just now figuring that out? We've known it for ages. Just keep him away from the Klondike bars, take it all with a grain of salt and he's not really a bad sort.

lol...

No insults intended Scott

I can understand it though, I hate commercials in general. It's like the Hollywood big shots think we're completely stupid. The biggest goal seems to be to create a commercial even more stupid than the last one. I can think of some products I won't even touch because of TV commercials. For over 30 years I refused to buy Charmin due to their incredibly ignorant "Mr Whiffle" commercials. If they think something that stupid is going to induce me to buy it, something that insulting to my intelligence, I won't touch it.

I think I saw the GC commercial, but only once and didn't pay attention to it. I only started watching TV again very recently, the only thing I used mine for in the past 30 years was watching VHS tapes. Didn't have or want an antenna even when it was useful...But lately moved back to Texas and they already have satellite hooked up, somewhere over 300 channels and I watch Mash and CSI and a few documentaries...that's it. NO reality TV at all, (people look at me like I just grew a third eye when I tell them I don't watch "Duck Dynasty"...and never will...and don't give a hoot if I look just like one of them. (the old guy I'm pretty sure...) I get "that look" all the time, now I know what's going on after being asked about it at least 75 times..."Hey you know you look just like..."

Now that I've checked out what's currently available on TV I think I can only say it reinforces what I've thought for most of my life. TV is the worst thing to happen to this world since Attillah the Hun. I kept hearing about "reality shows" so I watched a couple of them. I never lasted more than 5 minutes. Disgusting. I won't even think about watching any of the so called sit coms. Not funny, stupid, treat the audience like crap. Even the news must be watched with great suspicion, because the advertisers have total control over all programming, including news. TV gets all revenue from advertising. If their main advertiser doesn't like a story, the network can pull it or they lose all that money. You get 3 guesses what happens and the first 2 don't count...Movies...pure crap.

So that leaves extremely little worth watching on TV. Don't ask me why I happen to like CSI, but I usually do watch that, MASH is the only decent comedy ever produced (doesn't talk down to the audience), otherwise I have no interest in any of it except factual/scientific documentaries. I usually ignore commercials as much as possible, they just make me irritated.

I'll pay attention to the GC one if they air it again, I have little doubt Scott is right, all TV commercials are done by actors, which is why I ignore drug commercials. That guy standing there in a clean white doctor coat is just another actor reading his lines...and usually not doing a great job of it.

The other thing though, I figure that since commercials cost millions to produce and get on TV, if they have the money to produce a 30 second TV ad they certainly don't need any of mine.

Sometimes I'm really glad I don't have a television...

The beginning of all this, IRRC, was tuna fish. It's the dominant fish now but it wasn't always. The advertisement went like this (early 1950s):

"Tuna Fish - won't turn pink in the can!"

Sadly, it worked. 8)

Thanks Pete, as I've said previously "it's all mind over matter" and if you don't get what I mean, you haven't been here to read it.

So all you regulars know better without me having to finish that statement. (wink)

PS: The unwritten code of this forum is that if you reallllllllly don't like something or someone, feel free to be quiet and keep it to yourself.

I don't reply to everything, if you don't like what I write, feel free to ignore me and it.

And that goes for you too, Zar. If ya don't like it, then feel free to "step the faq off".

I say what I mean and I vent quite frequently.
If everything is going well for you, then great.
I like to vent in here. It's like "not farting the big ugly smelly one in public". lol If you don't like it, you can always cry about it or internalize it, but don't bother to make any observations about me in general.

You don't know me and that's fine by me.

If you want me to stop on by your house in Ohio, send me a pm and then you can talk in my face all you want. (I might even listen to what you say for 30 seconds or so.) LOL or not.. :)

PS: Klondike bars are not ok. Bring me a HagenDas bar, Ben and/or Jerry's or even a fudge-pop, but no Klondike's.. lol

We're up to 60$ on Channel 13/PBS 13 fund raiser to pay Scott's fines.. LOL (That's 3 more than I originally thought, as it was a joke, people.)(I don't expect anyone to pay my fines but ME.)

I am thinking about offering to go to jail for 30 days to attempt to lower my fines.. :(

Surely you could earn more money in 30 days than whatever the fine reduction would be? And no chance of becoming some guy's "girlfriend", either!

LMAO No Mike, we have "kiddie jail" around here..

It's not very crowded and usually packed full of people that drove drunk and having to do jail on the weekends as a result.

The worst part is that I would have to don the orange jumpsuit, do what they tell me to do and probably do 30 days of jail.

I am unsure of what the reduction is as of now, but come on now. We didn't burn anything to the ground and we were on top of a wooden shelter playing music in a remote part of the park. (remote is always better)

No damage + no vandalism = low fines and a hand slap to go??

(Please your honor, my wallet is bleeding and I have no trauma bandages to staunch the flow.) lol

Ok so after a quick discussion with the prosecutor and subsequent court appearance, the judge is going to let me do "30 days" in exchange for a lower fine..so I haven't been in here much of late and that's why.

But the fine reduction was NICE. The judge was even a nice guy about it.
(I feared the worst) (I loathe public humiliation of that nature)

As an aside, please stop sending me mail type stuff, plz. I am getting cards like it's a holiday and I thank you for your support, both mental and otherwise, but I don't really want people sending me anything else.

Along with the occasional check for 20$ (lol), I have been getting a little hate mail. (Guys gimme a break, I am a small fish in a very large pond and do not deserve your positive or negative remarks of any variety, although I did laugh hard because I do read everything and I mean "everything" you write.

I also got annoying things going on like "gift certificates from Bonton" and other girly stores. (Ok that was funny, please stop now as my current GF is getting mad. I got a gift certificate to Victoria Secret and my gf got very angry. She asked me "who do I know that wears Victoria Secret"?
I responded, "why you do, right dear"? And she blew her stack.
(I couldn't help laughing a little until she kicked me hard in the ass.)

I told her remember "Victoria Secret, good and Fredrick's of Hollywood, bad". Then she started throwing coffee mugs and so 30 days is looking good about now. She should be calming down by the time I get out. lol

I'll be out somewhere near the 1st of June, I figure.

(Ooh here comes "Barney Fife", I gotta go. I'll give Andy and Opie your warmest regards.. lol)

Do they let you bring a guitar in with you? 30 days - time to compose a whole album's worth of songs.

Maybe the VS stuff will help you with a new boyfriend in kiddie jail! But they probably don't have a size for you anyway.
