I don't practice these songs. As much as I would enjoy being in a band... I just create them and move on to the next. It's my therapy and refrigerator art. :P

yea, me too, but eventually you need to take it outside where others can get the benefit of your recreation.

Those songs are too good to stay hidden in your bedroom.

Agreed - time to get out of the closet, Jahva. Got to be some open mics, etc around you.

It's cool you guys still get to kick it live but I've pretty much given up on that venture for now. It's too much work, time and investment for me.
And I've had no luck finding anyone to work with.
Now if I ever write "the song" then maybe I'd work toward performing but time is short and I'm still looking. I've written probably 80 songs over the past 3 years. Better songs than these and they didn't motivate me to get off my azz and run to some pub and wait till 1 in the morning...
In the end they're just songs.
I don't mind I've learned a lot working alone and I enjoy it... sometimes you have to adjust. So my goals anymore lie in songwriting not performing. Keeps me on the inside a bit anyway...
Now if you ever hear one and go "WOW" be sure and let me know. :P

Live performances of songs can turn them into 'wow' songs, sometimes!
If you just don't want to do live, that's cool, there are many like that. But don't sell your abilities short, and look around for open mics that start earlier in the evening (ones I've been doing start at 7 or 8, get there early enough to sign up early, and can get out on time).
Talking about live playing yesterday with one of the guys I'm doing the annual Beatles-theme benefit with. One of the other guys in this group gets real tensed up when it comes to show time, and it shows - we're not sure hwo much live experience he has, specially recently. Of course, usually, the more you play in front of people the easier and more enjoyable it comes.

Jahva - I just listened, too...
Nice song construction. I understand about therapy. I say stay with your therapy. It works wonders.

I'm looking forward to my next therapy session...
