As you can clearly see, Cliffy doesn't actually want anyone's advice. He is our resident sympathy troll and he summarily rejects any and all input by bright and experienced musicians.

What Cliffy desperately wants is, of course, munching kangaroos and Yoda quotes. Although incredibly boring and annoying he is relatively harmless so we occasionally throw him a bone.

Also don't listen to what TheJohny7Band says, he's just annoyed because someone reccommended I try looking for this particular music buddy at a church, and I was honestly trying to tell that person why it wasn't going to be an effective place for me to search due to most churches banning secular pop music and he's seriously annoyed with that.

I feel sorry for you, sir. I just wanted to rectify a few issues I'm having with how people have responded to my requests. I am not the asshole in all of this.

Also although it did start out as such, I am no longer interested in forming a band, but looking for a solo keyboard player, but someone who plays casually in his music room at his house, rather than someone who plays out a lot.

I'm serious, I am not the asshole in all of this. As noted, I'm trying to rectify a few problems I've been having with how other people respond to my requests for a music buddy through my Guitar Center ad. Review the first post of this topic thoroughly before posting a reply.

This always seems to happen on the internet. I take the time to explain my situation to the person who's trying to help, and I get wrongfully accused of something, and then everybody starts working against me, just because I'm looking for something a bit different than what most everybody else does.

Just relax. I mean well with EVERYTHING I post. I'm not doing anything to make anyone mad or angry.

Again, why are people being sarcastic and basing every reason on how they see me behave on this site? These people I'm speaking of had no knowledge of my particpation on sites like this or Baton Rouge Rocks. This would be SOLELY through my Guitar Center post and less often through my Craigslist post. I was actually very inviting in the ad, and was VERY informative. I told my readers what instrument I play, what genre I play, listed some of the key artists, and of course, briefly explained what the reason for putting the project together: friendship.

Don't EVER say it's because I was an asshole. Don't ever say that, because I was cool with the given guy that didn't work out musically. By that, I mean, whenever I discovered someone who was already committed to playing in another band or someone who had a very limited musical pallette, I would gently tell the guy that we aren't going to work out musically, but consider doing another activity together, like playing video games, or attend a little music club together so i could meet more individuals through him.

And help me understand how my Guitar Center post was annoying? This is why I needed to actually have a reason to stick around at the store so I could observe and talk with my audience to answer any questions right then and there, rather than waiting for some random guy to respond who may have initially shown an interest in playing music with me, but refused to get back to me without telling me anything.
