YEah, but i don't think Zute suits would suit that genre of music, maybe if you all dress like undertakers...

You could create a whole show around that feel.

I'm tellin' ya... These guys have some really big venues lined up... not bars but halls and opening up for very well known acts because the connections are unbelievable with these guys.... Especially the singer... He's been in some pretty well known acts and has also acted in a few films! The bassist also played with Stevie Vai for a while!

You know what mate? Sometimes if you take the serious side out of it everything flows like a torrent.

I'm sure you'll do well just let me know if you in my neck of the woods ok? We'll share a beer.

This is good news Crip. :D

It better work out... I quit all my other projects and have spent weeks carefully perfecting and dissecting each and every tune these guys throw at me... By far the hardest guitar work I've done to date.. and rehearsals are just incredible.... my heart will just break if this doesn't pan out as I can't be too optimistic about anything anymore from past experience.... anything can go wrong and always understand it or you'll just lose it and give up!

Crip I'm really rooting for you on your new project. These guys LOOK serious. Can't wait to hear some of your new band's tunes on your profile page. I like the band's name, it's cool.

Hey Chippy- Not sure what you are getting at with this thread, but I've been doing a LOT of research on image and branding- As both are kind of the same thing.

Think about this-

The "Metallica" Logo - that was it's all metallic looking and the corners of the M at the beginning and the A at the end are all pointy... people actually know it as the "Metallica Font", you see ANY word written with that font, you instantly think of metallica / their logo.

That my friend is marketing GENIUS. Long before they were famous, this stuff was well-thought-out and planned. People thought they junped the shark with their Justice for All, and then moreso, the Black Album (s).. but they were already sold out to a marketing campaign long before their first album ever released.

But perhaps the greatest Image/Brand band of all time? KISS lol. They are the greatest success in rock and roll, from a marketing standpoint.

The key is that if you really want a band to be successful, you have to have a great marketing strategy and a solid "brand" to sell. The music itself just isn't enough anymore (sadly).

Sorry if I derailed the thread lol, just thought this was maybe what you were getting at -

On the nail Kramer. I think from what I've seen Paul has the best image but then I've onlt seen pics from a few people on here.

Kiss oddly enough was where, (Sort of), was thinking about. I've done a lot oaf marketing, been ins sales and all that. It just seems crucially important to me no matter if you play a church hall or a festival.

Thanks for making Chippie's words clear for folks. :D

My engineer's first band was named Mugsy. I used to go see them at a place called The Underground back in the 70's. They recorded with Cub Koda and then reformed as Send More Cops. Read more here: www.myspace.com/sendmorecopsband
