The best church music , in my opinion, is Ralph Vaughn Williams "Mass In G minor.

That is awesome! We all have someone or some type of music that speaks to us and sometimes it is to us only, that makes it even more intimate and special. You are Howlin.......... love seein' you on the posts.

Captain Scott wrote:You want a good piece of advice? Shut your mouth about religion before someone take offense to your words, whether they be based in fact or fiction.
It doesn't matter at all, except for the fact that you don't know when to let it drop. But believe me when I say if the right person gets irked, you'd be picking up your teeth from off the ground and praying that aren't staring down the barrel of a firearm. (happened to me already)

Stick to what you know about music, you'd be better off. Politics is bad enough. Leave the religion out of it. People are going to believe what they want to and for you to spout off about it shows lack of wisdom/forethought.

HAHAHAA. If I had a dime for every threat I got over the internet from some religious whacko....hell, I'd have my house built in Hawaii.

Not even a consideration.

That's not a threat.

If you consider how many people have already been killed over much less, you might stop talking and start thinking. (Smack that head a few times and try to get that brain working again.)

I actually had a gun shoved in my face once because I made a comment while drunk. That sobered me up right fast and about ruined my night.

You believe what you want and so will the rest of the world. If you like everything the way it is, you won't be writing any checks with your mouth that your ass can't cash. That's just common sense.

Cap'n I think you don't know much about me.

I don't say anything online that I wouldn't say to someone's face. It aint honest. And I have been in real life face offs a few times in my 47 years. Once even with a gun in my face, but it was a robbery and not a fracass over religion.

My checking account there is flush, thanks.

Well Irminsul, I think you like life without the rough treatment.

I know I do. And my mouth is legendary for saying stuff I don't want it to.

But even I know better now. If you like to learn the hard way, by all means.. (motions for you to trod on) Some do learn by others' mistakes and some do not. I think that's history is it not? Learning others mistakes so we are not doomed to repeat them>?

I may be off, but then I often am. lol

It's a lot more simple than that. Say what you mean, and mean what you say. Now of course there is such a thing as discretion, (which might be what you are talking about) but that is merely common sense.

You should never shut up about something that is glaringly or harmfully wrong.

As a musician I absolutely love the harder styles of music. I enjoy playing blast beats and going crazy behind my kit. I also just happen to be a Christian. If my Christianity happens to rub off onto my music than so be it, what's it to you?! You don't like what I play, leave the club or stop listening to my music.

The majority of songwriters will admit that the lyrics they write are rooted in their real life. Musicians use music as a creative outlet. A way to express their emotions. An atheist expresses their anger or happiness, a Christian does the same. You are the one that puts the "Christian" label on it. Don't you dare take a style of music that is so close to me, and tell me that "it doesn't count" or "it's not real metal." It counts to me, and when I'm streaming with blood and sweat it IS real.

Underoath - Some Will Seek Forgiveness, Others Escape

I heard a voice through the discord
Of a deluge of passersby.
I saw one gaze frozen in time
Watching me passing by.

I swear I'll know your face in the crowd,
And I'll hear your voice so loud
When you're whispering...

Hey unfaithful I will teach you
To be stronger, to be stronger.
Hey ungraceful I will teach you
To forgive one another.

Here's my kiss to betray
Desperate to brush the lips of grace.
Do you feel hollow when you think of how I've lied?

Oh sweet angel of mercy with your grace like the morning
Wrap your loving arms around me.
Oh sweet angel of mercy with your grace like the morning
Wrap your loving arms around me.

Hey unfaithful I will teach you
To be stronger, to be stronger.
Hey ungraceful I will teach you
To forgive one another.
Hey unfaithful I will teach you
To be stronger, to be stronger.
Hey unloving, I will love you,
I will love you, I will love you.

Hey unloving

I will love you

Onward Christian Soldiers! Marching US to War!
Eternal Damnation from an All Loving God!
It is not acceptable to believe something just because it makes you feel comfortable...also...It is not acceptable to refuse to look at something or to refuse to believe something because it makes you feel uncomfortable.
The label "God" is anyone's attempt to control "Collective consiousness"
Pilate would have lost his job / life if there was another rebellion...
the jewish clergy would lose their jobs if there was another "God" (or other public opinion) Pilate put it up for vote, those people present all agreed by their action or silence to the sentence.Kinda like a couple hundred people watching a hockey game and the star player dies from a concussion..i mean they are always injuring each other, must have been God's will...but you kept watching, it's o.k. cuz everybody's watching!

Collective Consciousness, yes!
There really is some kind of super evolution going on, and of course the machinery is always attempting too smash it back in the ground.
If I could choose a God I would let Love rule the world!
