I,ve got some balladish lyrics just laying around. I wrote them one day after I woke up with them running through my head.
My band has not touched them. (too many new projects at once I guess) If any of you cats would like to see them. Maybe stick a melody to them. I'll post them up for a project. Let me know If your interested.

Cool, a bite!
My next post on this thread will be the lyrics.
You can add, subtract, re-arrange, whatever you like.
As a background info, it's more or less a ballad of sorts. A retrospective of an individual whom almost lost it all due to infadelity.
But you do with it as you see fit.
Tentativly titled "Like A Thousand".

LIKE A THOUSAND
(verse)
There was a time ---------------- I'd lost my mind
Searching for things that never existed

You shared your love----------- Like rain from above
Pouring down on me in an endless flow

(bridge)
The deeper I look---------------- Into yur eyes
I can see the pain it's fading away

(chorus)
It seems like a thousand years ago---
when I was your hero
It seems likea thousand years ago---
that I went to zero
It seems like a thousand years ago
When I was your hero
It seems like a thousand years ago
When I let you down---
It seems like a thousand years ago
when I was your hero
It seems like a thousand years ago
when I let you down------
when I let you down------

(verse 2)
Love of my life ------- Your all I need
Let the tempist blow

To be by your side------------ for all of your life.
Is my last request

(repeat bridge) ---
(repeat chorus) ---

Cheesy I know, but hell It came to me in a dream. Good luck!

I had a heavy tune in my head when I woke up that day but I lost it before I could get it to my fingers. Some how just singing dnat dant daa into the recorder sounds really stupid and wont translate into chord or key. Good luck!

I'll come up with something.
Give me one to two weeks.

Cool. Go for it Hunter! It will be interesting to see how different musicians translate the same lyrics into music / emotion.

hey sans, I got a rhythm for it, did a really rough drawing board last night. I will polish the turd a little tonight, but I'm not laying any vocals down lol, so you gotta do that part once I get it up here. It will still be rough, for instance, the drums will just be a genreic loop, but the arrangement will stick to your lyrics, repeats, etc.

ok sans, it's up.

Only real issue I had with it was the chorus, at the end "when I let you down", the repeat, couldn't fit both in unless I took it out of 4/4 and rearranged the whole rhythm (which is what I should have done from the beginning lol)

Hope you enjoy it. Some wank soloing at the end for everyone's amusement, or horror, either works for me. :D

Sweet, man. A lil radio friendly at first, but then it gets that psychedelic feel (maybe it's all in my head.. probably). Seemed to build up nicely :D

Kramer nicely done, like the feel and your G-tar work, I’m disappointed with no vocals it’s hard to get a reference point without the main melody riding over the chords, when you came up with the progression you had to have a melody in mind, I’d suggest to play the melody of the singer with the lead guitar, if you don’t have a melody in mind, let Sans do the rest.

I think I’ll download it; it makes for a great jam piece.

Thanks guys. I figured sans could figure out the vocal melody. I had something in mind and attempted to play it with the lead, but it was pretty borish and I didn't care for it. A good vocalist would probably do much better.

Btw sans, the lyrics as I followed them, should start right at the end of the opening solo, but you probably already knew that :D

Great job Kramer. :)
I think you matched what he was looking for better than I did.
Nice legato lead bits.
