I was at work and remember hearing it on the radio... I stopped production for a moment only to get reprimanded by my then boss... Started production again when I heard about the 2nd hit... Sad to say, I was in complete shock but my asshole boss still made me continue working... Lost 2 friends... just speechless and filled with rage that I had to continue on like nothing happened!

Oddly enough I was working as a Landscaper that morning. The houses we were clearing up and were empty while folks worked in NYC. Many of them would not return either

One house in particular lost 33 family members that day. Around here it was really gray owing to the dust fallout. An eerie sight too from a place called 'Atlantic Highlands' where you could see NYC clearly on a good day.

Yup me too, had to work on. It's one day I'd rather forget frankly and I'd also like to see that new friggin building built!

I was in the studio working on a song called "Dog Days Are Comin' Around" It was a song about a premonition on a nuke attack on San Antonio. Never finished the song and never want to.

I was loading up my Jeep to fo to work, & stopped to come in & get a cuppa before leaving, when I saw the 1st plane hit on tv. As I poured & sat down to watch, the 2nd hit. I ended up not going to work as I watched the thing unfold.

I was at work at the hospital.

I had a really bad insulin reaction that morning and stopped at a favorite place for a hot dog and was sitting at a table eating and watching the today show when the fisrt plane hit. It didnt take long before everyone in the store was in front of the TV in shock that this was happening. I couldnt tear myself away from that TV for what seemed like hours. I remember the customer where I was going to give an estimate calling and cancelling our appt. Our business practically stopped for several days. I remember it took hours to get a call out on my cell phone that morning.

I was driving in to work, listening to the radio and heard about the second hit. I hadn't heard about the first at that time, as I don't watch the news on TV, especially while getting ready for a days work. Don't wanna be bummed out before even starting the day. Unfortunately got bummed that day anyway. It was a sad day, indeed.

I just woke up minutes before the 2nd jet slammed into the 2nd building.

I never could shake the thought of "why don't they get helis up there and get some of those poor f**k off the roof" and "isn't anyone going to make a personal parachute that can be used off of a building? How about a fing zip line?"

I was sitting at the table waiting to take my daughter to school. She turned on the news and you see smoke coming from one of the twin towers...she told me what was going on. Now, it was so close to the beginning of the 21st century... when they were talking about the problems that could happen with computers. One of the problems was the possibility of planes crashing and that is what came to my mind first especially when the second plane hit. Then there was the crash in Pittsburgh and at the pentagon.

Here in CA, I remember it being reported on the news that a plane had been hijacked from Las Vegas.This was not true of course, I can't get over that report...it just shows that they will say anything on the news if it means they were the first to report it. This report was starttling since my father-in-law was scheduled to leave Las Vegas that day. I called to check on him and he was in bed sleep. He had no idea what was going on. Needless to say he did not go home that day. We had to make sure that he had some prescriptions filled for his extended stay.

I took my daughter to school but her step-dad called me and told me to get her out of school and bring her back home...the country is under attack!!! Other parents were thinking the same thing and the parking lot was packed. I had a jazz improv class that night and my husband discouraged me from attending class. The following year, I was in a concert to commemorate the 1st anniversary of the event.

I was in Highschool, sophmore yr. I was in the library hangin with my friends befor class when one of the teachers burst in the library in tears and yelled at the librarian to turn on the tv's. She said our country was under attack and people started to freak out. Kids started calling thier parents on thier cell phones and some teachers and students just took off in thier cars. The Teachers and students that stayed, (I was one of them) sat in the gym and watched the news until around 3pm. It was difficult, as soon as they showed the footage of the survivors still in the building, I broke down. They told everyone to go home and shut down the school for a few days. I remember watching my parents sit on the couch for a week straight watching the news and crying. A very sad event in history that will be rememberd for generations.

I was working in a very expensive home doing some cabinet work. The owner came and told me after the second plane hit. Both me and my wife had incredible premonitions of this event. A few weeks before they had an airshow at the Downtown Airpot in Kansas City. It used to serve as the international airport for Kansas City before they built a new airport many miles north of K.C. (some people sarcastically call it the St. Joseph Int'l Airport). Anyway a few weeks before I was driving on I-70 into K.C. and a fighter jet fly right over my car headed right into K.C. I wondered what would have happened if it hit one of the highrise buildings in K.C. which it nearly did as it made a pass over the Downtown Airport. THE MORNING OF 9/11 my wife woke up early (about 6:30) and told me she had a nightmare about black guys and Arabs attacking her with knives. I'M NOT KIDDING. She told me this about an hour before it all happened. I've had numerous deja-vu episodes in my life, and especially my parents. It always freaks me out when they happen. Too bad I couldn't have figured it out and warned somebody beforehand...

I was cancelling B-day plans and wishing I had an SR-71 Blackbird with two sizable bombs under each wing. I would have dropped them over Iraq as a warning to the world. "Don't f**k with Freedom Mother f**k or I will practice my right to blow your asshole apart"....Happy Birthday to me!~

I was passed out drunk and didnt wake up until the next day

I was in my old car going to a friend's used car lot to by a car from him. I heard on the radio that a plane crashed into one of the towers, and I first thought it was a prank. This particular radio station had a history of playing prank news reals, but they stopped after 9/11 happened.

Anyway, when I arrived at my friend's car lot, they had it on NBC, showing the footage, and I remember feeling absolutely nothing. Not in an insensitive way, mind you -- its like my whole body went numb from the shock of what I was seeing. My friend Glen that owned the car lot must have seen me going pale and brought a chair over to me to sit down. Once I started having some response to what was going on, I stayed there for another couple of hours at least, watching the footage in complete disbelief.
