Never really got into female singers that much, but I did like Suzanne Vega, & for some reason I also liked Michelle Shocked, & that really makes no sense to me. I don't usually go for her type of stuff at all.

Don't like any of the fem country singers or thier material, but I'd still play it with them for a gig, cuz I'm such a hoe.
