Basically I am looking for people in the Huntsville Al area to respond to this. I already have a studio and have managed a succesful rehearsal space business for many years. I produce for major market radio and bands alike. My wifes family is from Huntsville AL and she would like very much to move back there. So My question is this. *** If there was a professional, high end and affordable recording studio/rehersal space in Hintsville would you utilize it in any way?
In case you need details. Rehersal space is $20 an hour. Recording services vary greatly depending on the project. I have graduated from Berklee in Music Production and Technology. I have 14 years experience in production (back when VHS tapes were for so much more than movies. Represent ADAT!). I have pro gear and use the following brands:
Marshall, Ampeg, Hughes & Kettner, Shure, Neumann, PRS, Fender, Pearl, Korg, Mackie, Steinberg etc.
Rooms come with free PA system and pro amps (Bass and Guitar) and 2 pro mics. Top brand name instuments are available to rent for extremely cheap (2 bucks!). Every wanted to play a PRS plugged into a Hughes & Kettner like Breaking Benjamin? Or maybe you've always wanted to try Slashes sound on for size? we got the gear and for dirt cheap. Totally pro, with lounge area with big screen TV, PS3 and a coupe couches for hanging out (free for our members). Snacks and drinks on hand. Accesories for your gear etc.
I have checked and there is nothing really in the area right now. Just an overpriced recording studio out in the country. Which I am sure is very good, but really caters to artists already established with bigger names. I am seriously considering moving my business there but before I can do anything I need a real honest feel for the likelyhood of success in the area.
Please help me out and be honest. If you would use rehersal space or recording facilities in Huntsville, AL let me know. If your a musician that wants someting like this in your area, this is where you need to speak up. You guys votes could make this happen!
