Well nothing is more convenient than a mobile app and as a musician and when it comes to growing a following, building a community or interacting with a fan base there is no better tool today.
A lot of brands haven't explored mobile app marketing simply because they don't understand the return on investment and it typically costs a $20,000+ to hire a developer to create a simple application. But with mobile-commerce growing every month, traditional marketing channels becoming saturated and with music already being consumed on mobile, mobile apps provide great opportunity to independent artists, musicians and producers.
