I was almost there myself. Lost my job in 2007, had to sell just about everything I owned, me, my wife and kids were living in a hotel for over a year. Finally found work, got most of my stuff back, now I'm just trying to get this recording thing to take off. Got tons of people in the area that play, and 2 studios that charge an arm and a leg for their services (150.00 per hour!!), and I can undersell both of them...hell if I know whoever it is, I'll do it for free. There was a guy that was in the neighborhood before we moved here going door-to-door shoveling driveways so he could feed his kids. I felt bad for the guy, so I let him shovel the sidewalk in front of our house. It's still pretty bad.
