Are you looking for parts because yours crapped out? If you really want a stand-alone recorder, I'd recommend the Zoom R16 or Zoom R24.
However, having used a stand-alone recorder and now using a full-featured DAW and a computer for recording/mixing, I'd recommend forgetting a stand-alone recorder.

ive always had fostex since the days of 4 track tape
you know.... it was only this morning i was looking at the zooms
they look awesome
and i think i maybe be plumping for the zoom r24

is this the FOSTEX 16 TRACK machine that uses ½" tape?
I need a studio that has one who can remix an old tape for me.
