Musician Forum - Band Discussion Board - BandMix

I just picked up an old Ensoniq ZR-76 and the only sound/volume I get is very faint and only from the headphone jack. The main outputs only hum when connected. I've tried different combinations of cords and different connections to different amps and still the same problem. Any suggestions aside from an expensive repair bill?

Check your solder joints on or near output.

If they are humming but not carrying signal, it might be as easy as a broken/cold/bad solder joint.

Look up your problem on google, chances are someone already went through the same thing as you are. Maybe there is some better info on how to fix cheaply and correctly.
