While it would be a "dream come true" to be an endorser of a well known drum, cymbal, sticks, or drum head company, most will not be interested in you unless you are performing in a well known band. If you are, they will contact you. However, there are many emerging companies who are trying to make a name for their products, just as you are trying to make a name for yourself. They are looking for drummers who have a good deal of exposure to other drummers. This can be accomplished by performing and/or recording with an artist who is performing in high profile venues, music festivals, and open mic jams where other drummers play on your gear. Provide an impressive bio, performance itinerary, and photos of massive crowds where you have performed or anything which shows you perform in high profile places where others see you and the gear you play. Being active in music education or connected to music retailers is a bonus as well. Conventions such as NAMM, PIAS, or music educator's conventions are good places to see and be seen, too.

Have the skills like Weckl or Schurman and you'll get a sponsor.
Or come up with a technique that nobody else has seen or can
play. Most company's only get the cream of the crop and you have
to be different and know your chops and grooves . Some of the
best drummers out there dont get sponsored, but then they dont
care cause they can play their arse off. 8)
