I would recommend a rickenbacker bass to anyone. I just got one, and it's the best bass i've ever played.

I didn't say it was the best bass, old man.. I said it was the best bass I've ever played, compared to Fender, Höfner, Dean, etc. I was just giving my opinion, if that's allowed.

haven't gotten to play on any really good bass's but from what I know about 'em if I could get my hands on a Rick I wouldn't complain, don't really like the seemingly pointless warm tone of Fender, and the Dean fretless acoustic I got f**k busted its nut when I was putting the right kind of strings on it, whats the captain prefer for his brand of bass?

Well, I sure like mine, and I have some nice basses. I love plugging up the "Ric-O-Sound". Rics have a very unique growl that you cant find in any other bass. They ROCK! Heres mine with the upgraded brass Hipshot bridge.

For the record, I prefer a Fender P-bass or Fender Jazz..

The only thing I don't like about the Rickenbacker is all the needless hype....

Speaking of Hype, good luck on your tour - NeanderPaul..

I just wanted to ask if you get any recognition from all the GEICO billboards? LOL

yah I could understand how fender bass's would be good for most of what you want to play beacuse the warm natural tones from it would be good for a wide range of styles, I'd love to get my paws on a wal, or an ns stick but thats not really a bass....

Warwick kicks all of your asses though
Well, sorta. They're too expensive though.
