Guitars

I have a 1959 Framus model 61F, arched top arched back hollow body f holes pick up inside guitar. Everyone who has played it says the neck is just like a Les Paul. This is a great Jazz / Blues guitar, which also plays a mean country tune as well, and Rock. I have had it a little more than ten years, and . . . I just love it !
I also own a 1964 Harmony (dime store guitar, I call it), a Martin Stinger (turquois), an Epiphone Les Paul (Cherry Sunburst) and a $79 Eleca accoustic guitar (made in China) I used to carry when I worked on the road (construction).
I hook up to a 1965 Fender Super Six Reverb Amplifier, which has been cut down and the six 10" speakers have been replaced with two 12" speakers, it realy kicks bootie. And for travel, . . . or whatever . . . I have a little Harmony Power Pal amp.
I also have an older Yamaha keyboard . . . just for help sometimes.

The turquois Martin Stinger (Strat copy), I bought for my Son on his 16th Birthday in 1989. He drown in 1993, at 19. This guitar will never leave the Family.

Damn, as a father of four I can say I truly feel for you man.
It's a beautifull guitar. I,m sure your son would want you to keep it to remember him, and not from a sense of loss.

. . . thanks Y'all . . . he could really play, . . . Guns n Roses, Metallica, Tesla, Pantera . . . Poisin . . . he was just really starting to get into CCR and Skynyrd . . . and more Country stuff before we lost him. We were starting to gel a little in style. He didn't like Nirvana or The Chili Peppers or Pearl Jam. That was what turned him to the older stuff. AC/DC, Sabbath, Zepplin, Judas Preist . . . he was going through what pursuaded my teenage years. He didn't like the grunge or that style of music.

If he liked MetallicA and Pantera, he must've liked Alice in Chains (grunge era too) .. may he rest in peace.

. . . not really . . . Alice in Chains that is . . . he wasn't into that Seatle sound deal at all ? He was into Iron Maden . . . Megadeath, . . . even Def Leppard . . . Ratt, . . . Dangerous Toys was one of his very favorites . . . I listened to a lot of those bands myself . . . I was 34 when we lost Chris. I influenced a lot of his taste. Just when he thought he'd heard it all . . . I'd pull out an old "Amboy Dukes" album . . . or something. He was toning up to be an excellent mucisian. He taught himself tabliture . . . wanted to play lead . . . with a passion ! Could sound like Slash . . . you didn't know the difference between them sometimes ? And Hetfield was his Idol. Cinderella was another band he had down pat ! His Friends and Him would have Parties and Jam for their Friends. They would ask me to come and sing. Looking back . . . it was the best of times, . . . and I didn't even know it then ? Now that I am an old man.
