A lot of bands out there shouldn't be happening, but at least Spinal Tap was doing it for the right reason...good ol' humor. Actually all the guys in Spinal Tap are pretty good musicians (at least, I believe so. haven't checked 'em all out). They just happen to be actors and comedians. Should the Blues Brothers have never happened either?

It just so happens that the best ones turn out to be parody bands, like Spinal Tap, Tenacious D, Dethklok, etc.
